A bit of background info…….

For over 30 years I worked in main stream secondary education, initially as a teacher of Art & Design and ultimately becoming a Senior Assistant Headteacher. I absolutely loved my time in school working with some amazing young people, however, in 2013 I made the life changing decision to take early retirement allowing me, once again, to focus my attention on the creative aspects of photography and art.

I love all aspects of nature but wildlife is my passion. Whether it’s exploring our local nature reserve or travelling further afield, you’ll often find me in my wellies lying in the mud ……. and if it’s impossible to get outside I’ll be at home with my drawing pencils.

Since retiring from education I have continued to study and have achieved the Licentiateship of The Royal Photographic Society Distinction and am a Qualified member of the Guild of Photographers.

I’m also very proud to be a member of the British Photography Awards Ambassadors scheme.  The British Photography Awards are targeted at supporting & discovering new photographic talent, and helping charities and small camera related organisations gain a sense of community, giving them the opportunity to be seen, and to share & talk about their work.
