I am absolutely delighted to be part of the Guild of Photographers ‘Portraits of Togetherness’ initiative, where photographers across the country are saying a massive THANK YOU to our local heroes.
During the COVID-19 Lockdown period photographic opportunities were very limited, hence, like many other wildlife photographers I set up “My Back Garden Project”. The most frequent visitors to the garden were a pair of sweet little robins, and this beautiful little bird soon became a symbol of this period of time in our lives.
You are invited to nominate your ‘local hero’ who has given so much during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. This could be an NHS worker, front line worker, key worker or someone who has gone ‘above & beyond’ to support a vulnerable neighbour or friend. Nominations are open until JULY 15th, when I will select 5 lucky recipients who will each receive a signed Robin print, a set of four greeting cards and a few other little treats, as my way of saying THANK YOU.
